Budget headings

Budget headings are used to organise the Budget Accounts, so that they can be sorted and amounts appropriately sub-totalled in reports. You can also search by budget heading to find accounts. Therefore it is important to name and set up budget headings logically. For example, you may set up separate Budget Headings for Teaching Staff, Non-Teaching Staff and Premises Costs, or you may choose to name your Budget Headings to be similar to CFR Codes.

From the Records menu you can access the Budget records area; on the Budget headings tab you can:

  • Find and view budget headings
  • Create a budget heading
  • Edit a budget heading
  • Delete a budget heading

To find and view budget headings

  1. From the Records  menu choose Budget records and click the Budget headings tab.
