Analysis reporting links

Arbor Finance lets you use reporting links to group different records together for analyses. These links are defined on the Analysis reporting links screen (or on the fly from the Income / Expenditure analysis screen), and then applied to transactions on the Income sources and suppliers screen.

From the Records menu choose Analysis records and click the Analysis reporting links tab. Here you can:

• Find and view reporting links
• Create a reporting link
• Edit a reporting link
• Delete a reporting link

To find and view reporting links

1. From the Records menu choose Analysis records and click the Analysis reporting links tab.
   Under Analysis reporting entries, the reporting links in the system are listed.
   
2. Scroll through the list to find the reporting link you want, or enter all or part of the link Code or Description in the Quick search box and click .
   If you enter at least two characters, Arbor Finance will auto search after a second or two.
   For a more precise search including the 2nd key, you can also use the Advanced option.
3. Click on the entry you want, to select it.
   Information for this reporting link is displayed in the right pane.

To create a reporting link

1. On the Analysis reporting links tab of the Analysis records window, click Add.
2. Under Definition, enter details for the new reporting link:
   
   • You must enter a Reporting code for this link. Up to 8 characters can be entered; all letters are in upper case.
   • If required, enter a 2nd Key for this reporting link (maximum 8 characters). You can use this as an alternative way to to classify results.
   • Enter a short Description for this reporting link.
3. Click Save (or Cancel).

To edit a reporting link

1. On the Analysis reporting links tab of the Analysis records window, click Edit.
2. Make any changes you require to the Definition fields.
3. Click Save (or Cancel).

To delete a reporting link

1. On the Analysis reporting links tab of the Analysis records window, select the required amount.
2. Click Delete and then Yes to confirm.

You cannot delete a reporting link that is linked to an income or expenditure analysis record.
